Getting good quality traffic will not normally be instant but instead take a while before it starts to come in regularly but there are a number of methods that should bring in traffic practically immediately. 1)Write articles - You can write articles and submit them to directories with a link back to your site and they will normally be published on the directory within a a week so you could be getting traffic from an article in less than a week. 2)Online forums - Forums can be used very effectively and can also be abused. If you want to see good results then definitely do not abuse forums. Visit forums related to your site and join in the discussions and contribute good information to the site. Do not simply go to the forum and post blatant advertisements for your site as no one will be impressed and you will find yourself becoming banned rather quickly. Most forums allow you to include a signature with your posts and this is where you can add a link to your site with some descriptive text.

3)Pay per click - This method can be an extremely fast method of gaining quality traffic, however, it can also be a very costly method. If you wish to use pay per click to get traffic then I would definitely advise you to read and learn as much as you can before you start and do not simply jump in. Learn as much as it takes to make you confident that you will be using your ad effectively and definitely set a budget for your campaign.

4)Traffic exchanges - Exchanges can bring instant traffic aswell but remember that the visitor is only going to be viewing your site for a small amount of time unless you can quickly gain their attention and get them to take action. A good headline, a small amount of text and a call to action would be a good method as you want to first grab their attention, then make them curious and then ask them to either give you their email address or click a link to your main site.

5)Free ad forums - There are many, many free advertisment forums on the net and you can join and post an ad normally within minutes. With this method, again you want to grab their attention with a good headline, give a short description of your site and then ask them to visit your site through a link. My advice to you would be to think about what people who use free ad forums are normally there for and try to appeal to them. A little tip - They should like free things.
